First blue petals — fingers crossed for a blue-purple mix

Been waiting for what feels like forever. A few petals are finally showing some color — edges turning blue, middle still green.

First time trying to turn them blue this year. Been using bluing agent for a while now. The only reason I’ve kept up with it is because I don’t have to think about it — just mixed it in and let the watering schedule run.

Hoping for a blue-purple mix in the end. Not sure if it’ll happen, but we’ll see.

Anyone with experience — keep going with the bluer or ease off now that color is showing?

Nice progress! The blue is definitely coming through. From my experience, the color will deepen as the blooms open fully. Keep using the bluing agent until you see the shade you want — just don’t cut off too early.
