Obsessed with the park tulips — need one for home 🌷

Saw a massive patch of purple-pink tulips today and I can’t stop thinking about them. Just stunning.

Now I’m wondering if I should grab a potted one for my own place. Anyone here grow tulips on a balcony? Are they easy to keep happy? How much sun do they actually need? And if I take decent care of it, will it bloom again next year?

Would love to hear from people who’ve tried before I impulse buy

Tough call! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I impulse bought one last year and honestly no regrets. It sat on my balcony in a sunny spot, I watered when dry, and it bloomed for a good couple weeks. After it faded I just let the leaves die back and forgot about it. This year? It actually came back — not as full but still pretty. So I’d say go for it! Worst case you get one beautiful season out of it. What color are you thinking?

Oh I totally get that feeling — when you see a flower display so beautiful you can’t stop thinking about it  Honestly just having one on your balcony might not replicate that massive patch energy, but it’ll make you smile every time you walk out. Kind of like bringing a tiny piece of that park moment home with you. I say go for it :tulip:

That purple-pink patch sounds dreamy  Just one thing to think about — tulips in pots can be a bit trickier than in the ground. Make sure your pot isn’t too small and has good drainage. Mine did better when I gave them a little more room to breathe. Good luck!
