My tomatoes are confusing me this year. Some days the leaves look a little tired, but the soil under the surface still feels damp.
I don’t want to overwater, but I also don’t want them drying out in the heat.
Would a soil moisture sensor actually help with this, especially if it connects to a watering system? I’m trying to figure out if tracking the soil would make watering decisions easier.
It seems that your water wasn’t applied thoroughly. Is it because the inside wasn’t wet enough? The soil sensor should be inserted deeper to detect the deeper soil moisture level.
