My tulips finally opened — and they're doubles! 😍

Planted a mix last fall and totally forgot what I put where. So when these started popping up I was confused — why do they look so full? Did a quick search and realized they’re double tulips!

Honestly they kinda look like little peonies? So many layers. Never grown this type before and I’m obsessed. The single ones are pretty but these are something else.

Anyone else grow doubles this year? Or have a favorite tulip variety? Think I need more of these next fall :tulip::sparkles:

Ohhh these are gorgeous! :heart_eyes: I love the “wait, what did I plant again?” surprise — best kind of garden mystery. Double tulips really do look like mini peonies, such a good hack if you want that look but tulips are easier :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I did a mix last year and had a few doubles in there too — definitely the standouts. Might need to go heavier on them this fall. Do you remember which variety these are? The color is perfection :tulip:
