We recently had a short power cut no more than a few seconds but later in the day I noticed the app could no longer control the watering schedules.
The only way I could get it to work was to re-pair the hub to the watering device.
My question is - surely the hub and device should re connect automatically like the other devices in the home. What would happen if you were away at the time and couldn’t physically re-pair the devices
Thank you for your question. I understand your concerns.
During a brief power outage, if your watering schedule is saved on a timer, the schedule will continue to run even if the device is offline. However, you will not be able to manually water the device via the app while it is offline.
Remote device reset is not supported; you will need to manually reset the connection at the device’s location:
Proximity to the gateway (hub), reinstalling the device battery will quickly restore connection and online status.
Manually reset the device to a standby network state, then re-add the device.
Therefore, as long as your watering schedule is saved, watering will continue even when you are not home. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further assistance.
Hi Ruddy
Many thanks for your great reply. So as long as I have programmed a schedule into my app which I assume saves to the device itself it should all work regardless of any power cuts then?
Yes, once your watering schedule is successfully saved to the timer, it will continue to run even if the gateway loses power or the device goes offline.
To be absolutely sure, I recommend that you check it after saving the schedule to ensure that the timer runs at least once as planned. This confirms that the schedule has been saved correctly.
