I'm Ruddy, Your Product Support Manager — Ask Your Questions, I'm Here to Listen

Hello everyone!

I’m Ruddy, the Product Support Manager at RainPoint. My role is to ensure you have a seamless experience—from setup to everyday use.

While our full support portal will officially launch on January 1st, I’m already here and ready to assist you.

My goals for this thread are:

  • Listen directly: Understand the top questions or challenges you’re facing with the RainPoint app.

  • Provide early support: Offer timely help and guidance before our full support center goes live.

  • Build a knowledge base: Gather common questions to create a more focused and helpful FAQ for the future.

Please post your questions about the RainPoint app directly here:

  • Is there a feature you’re unsure how to use?

  • Are you confused about what a specific setting does?

  • Do you have ideas about compatibility or future features?

Every question helps us improve our support system. I look forward to chatting with you!

My main question is about the watering schedule history or logs. Right now, I can see if a zone is scheduled, but is there a way to review past watering events in the app? I’d love to confirm that my schedule ran as expected, especially after a rain delay or if I was away.

Thanks for being here!

Hi Ruddy, thanks for introducing yourself and opening this thread.

I often find myself wanting to make a quick, temporary adjustment to a schedule (like skipping tomorrow because of rain, but keeping the rest of the week the same). The current process feels a bit clunky. Is there a smoother way to do this planned, or any best-practice tips?

Appreciate the proactive support!

Thank you for this valuable feedback! A watering history/event log is a highly requested and important feature for tracking performance and troubleshooting.

What You Can Do Now:

  • Check device indicator lights (if supported).

  • Observe soil moisture trends.

  • Look for rain-delay skip notifications in the app.

Thank you for highlighting this! We agree that managing temporary schedule changes could be smoother.

Current workaround:
For now, you can create a one-time schedule to override your regular plan for that specific zone and day.

Why it’s designed this way & what’s next:
We originally prioritized schedule stability, but we’re actively exploring features like “Skip Once” or “Single Override” to better balance flexibility and ease of use.

Your clear feedback is invaluable — we’ll keep you posted as we refine this experience. Thanks for helping us improve!

Hello, I also posted this question somewhere else in this forum. I downloaded the RainPoint Home App because I have two wifi enabled timers that I need to get up and running. Before I can move forward with anything involving using the app, pairing, etc. I’m required to agree to the User Agreement. I have tried repeatedly to view the user agreement and the privacy policy, but the hyperlinks won’t open. I get a little Network error message every time. Is there somewhere else I can view these documents?

Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you are unable to view the “User Agreement and Privacy Policy.”

Please ensure that the RainPoint Home App has been granted the necessary permissions to access various features. On your mobile phone, please navigate to “Settings” → “Apps” → “RainPoint Home,” and then enable the relevant permissions.

If the issue persists, please uninstall the app, restart your phone, and then download the latest version of RainPoint Home from the official app store.

If you are still unable to proceed within the app, please provide screenshots illustrating the issue.Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
