Regarding Rain Gauge Records (Export/View) and Data Reset

Dear Customer Support Team,

I am writing to you because I recently purchased your Rain Gauge for both my hobby and professional work at my office.

I was very excited to use this device to record hourly rainfall. However, I have encountered some difficulties that make me quite sad, as the data I can view and export is very limited.

1. Limited Data Export and Viewing Currently, I can only see daily data for one month and hourly data for just 24 hours. This is very saddening for me because I need to check the data even when I am away from the office during long holidays.

  • My Need: I need to access one year of daily data and at least one month of hourly data.

  • If the office is closed for more than a week, I have no way of knowing how much it rained during that time. It makes me very sad that I cannot track these important records as I had hoped.

2. Data Issue and Lack of Reset Function There is also an issue with the data during installation. When I put in the batteries and move the device to its setup location, the sensor triggers and records unwanted data.

  • It is regrettable that there is no way to delete or reset this incorrect data within the app. I feel sad that my cumulative data is now inaccurate and I cannot fix it.

I bought this device believing it would keep good records, so these limitations are heartbreaking for my work.

I would be very grateful if you could help me find a way to access longer data history and reset the accidental readings.

Hi there, I also find these issues very frustrating.

It would be a great help for my records if I could reset the rain gauge after setting it up.

Currently I have not had a drop of rain but my gauge reads 46mm after setup…

Thank you for your message. I fully understand your frustration regarding this issue. I would be happy to assist you in clearing this erroneous data.

How to reset the rain gauge and remove false readings:

  1. First, delete the device from the App. This action will also remove the historical rainfall data. You may wish to export your historical data to your email beforehand to create a backup.
  2. Open the cover and remove the batteries.
    Use a small piece of tape to secure the “tipping bucket,” ensuring it remains stationary.
    Wait 2–3 minutes, then insert brand-new batteries.
    Place the rain gauge back in its proper location, then gently remove the tape, taking care not to disturb the tipping bucket. This helps prevent any movement or shaking from generating unwanted rainfall data.
    Re-add the device within the App. The rainfall readings will now reset and begin counting from zero.

Thanks for the info, but I already know how to reset it by taking out the battery. It’s a bit of a hassle and not ideal for keeping data intact. It would be great if you could update the app to include a more user-friendly reset option
