Walked past a sunflower field today and now I’m seriously considering adding some to my garden next year. Something about them just hits different — tall, bright, always facing the sun.
Anyone here grow sunflowers? Do they need a ton of space or can you squeeze a few in a regular garden bed? Also, do they come back or do you have to replant every year?

I’ve grown sunflowers a few times and honestly they’re pretty easygoing! You can definitely squeeze some into a regular bed — just check the seed packet for mature size. Some get huge (like 6ft+) but there are smaller varieties too. They’re annuals so they won’t come back next year, but they do drop seeds so sometimes you get volunteers. Worth trying for sure — nothing beats walking out to a giant sunny flower
