I’m trying to figure out if a full RainPoint smart watering setup is really necessary for a smaller summer watering routine.
My balcony isn’t huge — I only have a small patch of grass and a few potted plants on the patio. During the summer, they do need regular watering, but it’s not like I’m managing a big lawn or multiple garden beds.
I don’t want to install a water storage tank at home; it takes up too much space. I’ve been looking at RainPoint smart timers, rain sensors, but I’m not sure if I need the whole system or if starting with just a smart water timer would be enough.
For anyone with a smaller balcony or just a few containers, what setup are you using? Did you start simple and add more devices later, or did you find the full smart system useful even for light watering?
