For New Gardeners

Hi Guys,

I’m getting ready to move soon, and one of the things I’m most excited about is finally having a backyard of my own :herb:

I’ve already started imagining how I’d like to turn it into a more relaxing and functional outdoor space — maybe some flowers, a few raised beds, and a cozy corner to enjoy in the summer. But I also know that if I’m going to maintain a backyard long term, I’d really want the watering part to be smarter and easier to manage.

So I wanted to ask here:
If you were starting from scratch with a new backyard, which RainPoint products or kit would you choose for a smart irrigation setup?

What I think I’d need most is:

  • automatic watering based on weather

  • soil moisture monitoring, so it’s not all guesswork

  • separate zone control for different areas like lawn vs. garden beds

  • app control, so it’s easy to manage even when away from home

If anyone here is already using RainPoint products, I’d really love to hear your recommendations :eyes:
What would you pick first if you were planning a smart backyard irrigation system from the beginning?

Would love to hear your ideas :seedling:
