Hello, I have a 4 spout timer and it’s been working for a few weeks. But now I see that water is flowing out of zone 4 when it’s off… Its this a known issue that can be fixed? I powered it off, removed the batteries and it still doing it. Need help.
Ok, so turning the device off didn’t do anything, but if you turn the zone on with the manual override (hold the OK btn for a few secs) it reset the zone on/off, and that worked.
Hello,
Thank you for your message. We are pleased to hear that you successfully resolved the leak in Zone 4 by performing a manual operation.
To prevent such issues from recurring, please keep the following points in mind:
- Please replace the batteries with brand-new alkaline ones; low battery power can prevent the valve from opening or closing properly.
- Please check if the inlet and outlet ports have been installed in reverse, as this can cause the valve to malfunction.
- Please install a filter screen at the water inlet and clean it regularly to prevent debris from entering the pipes and interfering with normal valve operation.
- Keep the water faucet fully open to maximize water pressure, then manually open and close the valve repeatedly; this helps flush out any debris that may be clogging the valve.
- Please verify and adjust your water supply pressure; the product’s operating pressure range is 0.05–0.8 MPa (7.25–116 PSI).
- Due to prolonged shipping and storage periods, water inside the valve may evaporate, causing the internal silicone diaphragm to stick together. We recommend increasing the water pressure and repeatedly opening and closing the valve to see if the flow can dislodge the diaphragm.
- Please ensure the device is positioned correctly; the irrigation timer should be installed vertically relative to the ground. We do not recommend installing it at an angle, horizontally, or upside down, as this may damage the internal valve components and lead to leaks.
If the leaking issue persists or recurs frequently, please provide the following information:
Your device model number (printed on the back of the timer).
A short video demonstrating the leak and the manual operation steps you performed.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and for sharing your experience.
Sincerely,
